Troy, Ohio

A 20-year-old landscaper from Troy, OH, died instantly when a Bobcat loader ran over him as he walked beside it.

A coroner’s jury ruled that Sean Creath’s death on April 18 was an accident. Creath was walking closely along side the Bobcat when its track caught his shoe and pulled him underneath. The operator had less than two days of experience driving the vehicle.

Today as you are walking up and down the aisles, be especially careful of the forklifts that are driving by. Don’t walk too close to them and give the operator plenty of room to maneuver around with their loads.

Drivers, if you stop to talk to someone, take the extra time and put the emergency brake on the vehicle. It’s one extra step that could prevent an injury.
